Summary of professional experience

Patricia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and Home Economics from Egerton University, Njoro and a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from the Institute for Development Studies (IDS), University of Nairobi. She has also undertaken various training courses including Project Planning, Environmental Governance, Leadership and Management.

She serves in the Business Environment and Private Sector Development Directorate of the State Department for Industrialization. Undertaking multiple roles, she is part of the multi-agency team developing, reviewing and negotiating Kenya’s International Investment Agreements, including the Investment Protocol of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Currently, she is part of the team responsible for building supporting and maintaining government and industry relations with development partners and the private sector players/ stakeholders.

Her previous assignment involved project conceptualization, development planning and management, serving as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for ten years. She’s a long-serving public servant, having entered the Public Service in 1993. She has participated as a member of different teams and led various teams involved in development from the grassroots level to the National level. Her role entailed engaging with other state actors and the private sector and development partners.
